Kenogamisis Energy GP Corporation (KEC)
KEC is a partnership between Animbiigoo Zaagi’igan Anishinaabek, Aroland First Nation, Ginoogaming First Nation, and Long Lake #58 First Nation. Formed through equal 25% ownership by each Nation, KEC represents a key business partnership among the four communities, built on a shared commitment to advancing sustainable economic development, strengthening regional influence, and creating long-term mutually beneficial opportunities.
Greenstone Solar Farm
The Greenstone Solar Project is a ground-mounted solar photovoltaic facility with an approximate capacity of 8.5 MWdc / 6.3 MWac located in the Municipality of Greenstone. The Project includes two solar array fields, inverter and electrical infrastructure, internal access roads, and a point of connection designed to directly supply renewable electricity to the Greenstone Gold Mines operation.
Key Project Highlights
The Project is located in the Municipality of Greenstone on lands owned by Greenstone Gold Mines (GGM)
Existing environmental studies completed for the mine’s Environmental Impact Statement / Environmental Assessment (EIS/EA) provide valuable baseline information for the Project
The solar facility will consist of two solar fields located on either side of Old Arena Road covering approximately 12 hectares of land:
One solar field north of the road
One solar field south of the road
The Project is being developed to directly supply renewable electricity to the mine operations
